Leblon
is separated from the neighborhood IPANEMA
by a canal running from the Atlantic to the Rodrigo de
Freitas Lake, otherwise known as LAGOA.
It is a noble part of Rio and a pleasant place to walk
around, shop, and dine.
The streets and beaches are full of beautiful people.
Upper Leblon is basically residential, full of beautiful
homes and apartments some separated by cobblestone streets.
In Lower Leblon, there are late night bars and restaurants
starting at Cazuza Square.
Check out the streets Dias Ferreira and Ataulfo de Paiva.
Avenida Niemeyer connects Leblon to Sao Conrado and is
a must see scenic drive. At the beginning of this drive
at the end of Leblon Beach you can stop and take pictures
at a look out offering a scenic view down the beach all
the way to the end of IPANEMA
to Arpoador the name of the triangular point separating
Ipanema from COPACABANA.
